Website Trivia

Some rules and clues to a better website

#1
Never put up a website that has no content or information about your business. Even a simple page that give people information about how to contact you is better than nothing at all. Many times businesses lose those valuable customers because someone needed something and could not contact the business, so they went to google and found another company that they contacted and got what they needed!
#2 When you put up information about your business, always include more than one way to contact you. Email and phone are a basic, but if you have a store front, be sure to include that information. Always include a Logo if you have one.
#3 It is a good idea to include pictures of your products, employees and store front so people know that you are a legitimate business.
#4 Having a flashy website does not always help, but a website that contains information that will help people is a site they will return to more than once, and they will be telling their friends about it.
#5 Choose a background and colors that are easy to see, some sites have lettering that looks nice, but you have trouble reading it. This will not get your message across to the customer.
#6 Ever go to a website and get tired of waiting for it to load, so you go else where? Well that happens if you do not use the right resolution for pictures and lots of flash on the page. The old adage still applies, Keep it Simple!
#7 Don't put too much information on one webpage or people get tired of scrolling down. Put enough information so people can read easily, mabe scroll for a few lines and then create a page 2. People do not like to scroll for 20 pages down just to read something.
