Here are a few ideas that usually will help speed up your computer. There are many reasons for a computer that was running perfectly just slow down and most times you only notice it after it has reached the point of being annoying or you are in a rush. There is no reason for you to have to start your computer, then go get a cup of coffee, call your friends and maybe make dinner before you can use it.

Spyware is being used by companies to understand what people are doing and what they are looking for. Then they can create the software that will perform better for their customers. If you only have one Search feature on your tool bar, then this is just great. Only one message will be sent out and you will then see your website. But.... when you have 2 or 3 of them, they all want to tell their respective companies what you are doing. If one of those servers is running slow because of a lot of traffic, you sit and wait until the connection is made and the report is made before you see your site.

Although Tool Bars are helpful in your web browser, most of them report exactly what you have typed into the browser. So what does this mean? Before you can see a page, each of the tool bars has reported somewhere that you are going here. This is a benefit to companies that want to see how people find their websites but it slows up the PC and usually makes the user give up and go to another site.

Best solution is to have only ONE tool bar with search enabled. You can remove the others by going to Start, Settings, Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs and remove ones that are not needed.
